Elisabeth Klar

Elisabeth Klar, PhD, serves as senior vice president and chief human resources officer for Memorial Health, overseeing a range of services aimed at creating a great colleague experience, including compensation, benefits and colleague health. In this role, she also works to maintain a culture centered on the Memorial values and build a strong workforce committed to delivering high-quality healthcare now and in the years to come.

Dr. Klar has over two decades of HR experience, including leadership roles at Pittsburgh-based Highmark Health and Cleveland Clinic. She earned a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University, a master of business administration degree from Case Western Reserve University and a doctor of philosophy degree in organization and management from Capella University.

Dr. Klar holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources certification and is a Certified Professional Coach. She serves as an advisory board member for the Capella University School of Nursing.
