Michael Kos

VP, Revenue Cycle at Memorial Health

Michael Kos serves as vice president of revenue cycle for Memorial Health. He provides leadership for the organization’s revenue cycle areas, including patient access, case management, managed care, third party reimbursement, patient financial services, professional billing, decision support and Memorial Home Services billing. He also provides operational support and assistance to Memorial Health Partners and the continued development of population health products and services.

Kos began his career at Memorial Health in 2012 and previously served as system director of Managed Care and Payor Relations. He holds two bachelor’s degrees from Indiana University, a master of public administration degree from Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs and a master of science degree in accounting from Indiana University’s Kelly School of Business. He is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green belt.

He is a member of both the American College of Healthcare Executives and the McMahon-Illini Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, where he serves as a director on the chapter Board of Directors. Kos also serves on the National Association of Healthcare Revenue Integrity Leadership Council and represents the health system on various financial committees through the Illinois Health and Hospital Association. At the community level, he also currently serves as vice president of the Board of Directors for M.E.R.C.Y. Communities and a member of the Community Foundation for the Land of Lincoln’s audit committee.
