Angela Quarters is a seasoned healthcare professional with extensive experience in nursing education and performance improvement. Currently serving as the Performance Improvement Coordinator at Memorial Hospital of RI since November 2010, Angela focuses on staff education related to Core Measures, aids in Joint Commission Survey preparations, and collaborates on the Surviving Sepsis Campaign with the ICU Collaborative. Prior roles include Assistant Director of Education at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital/St Joseph Hospital, where Angela developed nursing orientation programs and continuing education initiatives, and a position in Professional Development at Memorial Hospital of RI, providing ongoing education to nursing staff. Angela holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from DeSales University, earned from 1988 to 1992.

On December 28, 2017, the Rhode Island Department of Health announced the approval of Care New England’s reverse certificate of need application to move forward with the functional closure of Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Department. As of January 1, 2018, Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Department will be closed. Care New England remains committed to ensuring access to community-based, outpatient care that meets the future health care needs in the Blackstone Valley.
