Memorial Hospital of RI
Jennifer Rosenbaum is a dedicated medical professional currently serving as a Family Medicine Resident at Memorial Hospital of RI since June 2015. A graduate of Boston University School of Medicine with an M.D. degree, Jennifer's medical training includes a significant leadership role as a Board Member for Medical Students for Choice, advocating for the training of future abortion providers and pro-choice physicians. Prior volunteer experiences include roles in oncology and emergency departments at St. Joseph Hospital, front desk assistance at Cambridge Cares About AIDS, and teaching English and math in rural Lesotho through Grinnell Corps. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Global Development from Grinnell College and has furthered education through Harvard University's division of continuing education.

On December 28, 2017, the Rhode Island Department of Health announced the approval of Care New England’s reverse certificate of need application to move forward with the functional closure of Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Department. As of January 1, 2018, Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Department will be closed. Care New England remains committed to ensuring access to community-based, outpatient care that meets the future health care needs in the Blackstone Valley.
