Jordan White serves as the Consultant Medical Director at the Rhode Island Department of Health since March 2020 and has been a Family Physician at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island since January 2012, focusing on patient care and medical education. Prior roles include Assistant Dean for Student Affairs at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University from August 2016 to October 2019, and Preventive Medicine Fellow at the University of Massachusetts Medical School from September 2009 to December 2011. Jordan completed a Family Medicine Residency at Brown University/Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island from 2006 to 2009. Jordan holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

On December 28, 2017, the Rhode Island Department of Health announced the approval of Care New England’s reverse certificate of need application to move forward with the functional closure of Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Department. As of January 1, 2018, Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Department will be closed. Care New England remains committed to ensuring access to community-based, outpatient care that meets the future health care needs in the Blackstone Valley.
