Joseph Tetrault has extensive experience in clinical applications and information systems within healthcare settings. Currently serving as a Clinical Applications Project Specialist at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island since February 2012, Joseph previously sought opportunities in medical information systems in the RI/SE MA area. Joseph's long tenure at Saint Anne's Hospital from June 1976 to June 2011 included roles such as Senior Applications Analyst, where responsibilities centered on implementing and maintaining Meditech software, and Systems Analyst and LIS Administrator, focusing on laboratory information systems. Joseph began in a supervisory role in Microbiology, overseeing specimen processing and quality control. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Rhode Island, earned between 1969 and 1974.

On December 28, 2017, the Rhode Island Department of Health announced the approval of Care New England’s reverse certificate of need application to move forward with the functional closure of Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Department. As of January 1, 2018, Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Department will be closed. Care New England remains committed to ensuring access to community-based, outpatient care that meets the future health care needs in the Blackstone Valley.
