Michael Oliveira is a seasoned nursing professional with extensive experience in various healthcare settings. Since March 2020, Michael has served as a Travel Nurse at NURSE. Concurrently, Michael has been an Emergency Room Registered Nurse at Memorial Hospital of RI since June 2015 and has worked as a Psychiatric Nurse at Landmark Medical Center since December 2014. Prior experience includes a role as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Miriam Hospital ER from September 2012 to May 2015 and a Health Manager position at Comprehensive Community Action Program in 2014, focusing on compliance with Head Start guidelines for child immunization and health records. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Aspen University and a diploma in Registered Nursing from St Joseph School of Nursing.

On December 28, 2017, the Rhode Island Department of Health announced the approval of Care New England’s reverse certificate of need application to move forward with the functional closure of Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Department. As of January 1, 2018, Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Department will be closed. Care New England remains committed to ensuring access to community-based, outpatient care that meets the future health care needs in the Blackstone Valley.
