Kelly Garland, BSN, RN has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Kelly currently holds the position of Director of Medical Staff Services at Memorial Medical Center Las Cruces since April 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Quality and Medical Staff Director at MountainView Regional Medical Center from August 2021 to April 2023. Kelly also held positions such as Chest Pain Coordinator and Quality Coordinator at the same company from January 2020 to August 2021 and from July 2016 to January 2020, respectively. Kelly worked as a Recovery Registered Nurse at Memorial Medical Center Las Cruces from November 2007 to January 2018. Kelly also has experience as a District Nurse Supervisor and Health Services Coordinator at Hatch Valley Public Schools from August 2008 to August 2015. Kelly additionally worked as a Telemetry Registered Nurse at MountainView Regional Medical Center from April 2007 to January 2008. In 2019, they worked as a Content Contributor and Editor at Nash Healthcare Consulting. Kelly also has experience as a Volleyball Coach at Hatch Valley High School from 2011 to December 2013.
Kelly Garland, BSN, RN has an extensive education history in the field of nursing. Kelly first attended Hot Springs High School and graduated with a diploma in 1993. Kelly then pursued an Associate's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from New Mexico State University-Dona Ana, which they completed from 2003 to 2006.
Seeking further education, Kelly obtained a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from Aspen University, specializing in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse. Kelly attended this university from 2019 to 2021.
Continuing their educational journey, Kelly is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Nursing Administration from Capella University since 2022.
In addition to their formal education, Kelly has also obtained a Legal Secretary Degree from International Business College in 1996, specializing in Legal Studies, General.
Kelly has also acquired various certifications throughout their career. Kelly obtained the Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association in November 2021. Kelly completed a Quality & Patient Safety Fellowship program offered by the New Mexico Hospital Association in September 2019. In June 2016, they obtained the Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association. Lastly, Kelly obtained the Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association in April 2020.
