Laura Thomas

Laura Thomas has over 15 years of experience in finance and healthcare administration. Laura is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Memorial Medical Center Las Cruces. Prior to this, they were the CEO of Controlled Consulting, LLC. Laura has also held various leadership roles such as VP of Finance, CFO at Boone Health, Region CFO at Broward Health, and Senior Vice President Finance at JPS Health Network. In these positions, they were responsible for financial operations, budget planning, supply chain management, and strategic financial decision-making. Laura has a track record of success in improving collections, reducing denials, and implementing CDI programs. Laura has also served as a Market CFO at Mercy Health, Division CFO at Nix Health Care System, and CFO at Lovelace Regional Hospital - Roswell. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated their ability to be a strategic financial partner to executive leadership teams and drive organizational success.

Laura Thomas received a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accountancy & Information System Management from The University of Texas Permian Basin between 2001 and 2003. Laura then went on to complete a Master of Health Administration degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Ohio University, which they earned from 2012 to 2015.
