Selwyn M. Vickers

Selwyn Vickers currently serves as the President and CEO of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, a position held since September 2022. Prior to this role, Vickers was the Senior Vice President for Medicine and Dean of the School of Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham from October 2013 to September 2022. Vickers also held the position of J Phillips Professor of Surgery and Chair of the Department of Surgery at the University of Minnesota Medical School from October 2006 to October 2013. Vickers earned a Bachelor of Arts in Natural Sciences from The Johns Hopkins University in 1982 and completed medical education at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine from 1982 to 1986.
