Neil Bose

President & Vice-Chancellor Pro Tempore at Memorial University of Newfoundland

Neil Bose began their work experience as the Acting Principal at the Australian Maritime College, University of Tasmania in January 2012. Neil then became the Principal in February 2013 and held this role until October 2017. In November 2017, they joined Memorial University of Newfoundland as the Vice President Research, a position they currently hold.

Neil Bose completed their education in a chronological manner. Neil attended John Leggott Grammar School from 1969 to 1974. Following that, they pursued their higher education at the University of Glasgow, where they obtained an Engineer's Degree in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering from 1974 to 1978. Neil Bose continued their academic journey at the University of Glasgow and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Naval Architecture from 1978 to 1982. In addition to their formal education, Neil Bose obtained the National Engineering Register certification from Engineers Australia in September 2020.
