Peter Abell

President & CEO at Memphis Symphony Orchestra

Peter Abell is the current President & CEO of the Memphis Symphony Orchestra. Peter has also served as the Reservation Director for Kia Kima Scout Reservation, Senior District Executive for Boy Scouts of America, and Executive Director for Shelby County Books from Birth. Most recently, they were the Assistant Director of Development for West Tennessee at Youth Villages.

Peter Abell has dedicated their career to helping others and bettering their community. Peter is a strong leader with a passion for music and education. Under their guidance, the Memphis Symphony Orchestra has flourished and become one of the premier symphonies in the country.

Peter Abell's educational career includes a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and a Master of Public Administration in Nonprofit Management from The University of Memphis.
