Angela García Achalandabaso, MA, DPI has a wealth of experience in translation and interpretation. Angela has been self-employed as a freelance translator and interpreter since 2014. From 2016 to present, they have held roles at Memrise as a Spanish Content Manager and Senior Spanish Language Specialist, and at viagogo as a Translator and Proofreader. From 2014 to 2016, they were an Interpreting Services Intern at Language Connect, where they were responsible for processing, allocating and monitoring interpreting bookings, as well as translation and recruitment of new linguists. From 2012 to 2011, they were a Spanish Language Assistant at the British Council, and from 2011 to 2012, they were a Volunteer Translator and Interpreter at Universidad de Salamanca, where they practiced translation and revision of British press articles about the Spanish Civil War, and interpretation in public services.
Angela García Achalandabaso, MA, DPI has an extensive education history. Angela obtained a Bachelor of Arts - BA in Language Interpretation and Translation from Universidad de Salamanca between 2008 and 2012. Angela then attended South Thames College in 2015, where they earned a Diploma in Police Interpreting. Between 2013 and 2014, Angela attended Universidad de Granada and obtained a Master's degree in Conference Interpreting. Angela also participated in the Erasmus Programme at ISTI Institut Supérieur de Traducteurs et Interprètes in 2010, where they studied Translation and Interpreting. Additionally, Angela has obtained certifications from Interprefy and the Chartered Institute of Linguists.
