Prior to this, Elvira worked at CONSIGLIO NAZIONALE DELLE RICERCHE-ISTITUTO DI CHIMICA DELLE BIOMOLECOLE, focusing on the extraction, purification, and characterization of secondary metabolites from marine organisms. Elvira also has experience in the exploitation of algal biomass for energy production.
