Salvatore Montemagno

Salvatore Montemagno is a skilled specialist in upstream processes with extensive experience in biotechnology. Currently serving as a USP upstream process specialist at Menarini Biotech since April 2013, Salvatore focuses on process improvement, technological development, process scale-up/scale-down, and technology transfer. Prior experience includes a role as a Manufacturing Technician at Novartis Vaccines, where Salvatore contributed to the production of vaccines against Neisseria Meningitidis group B, specifically with cultivation processes in large-scale bioreactors. An R&D internship at Università degli Studi di Palermo involved research on colorectal cancer, while a trainee position for a master's thesis at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW centered on proteomic analysis of muscle cells related to muscular dystrophy. Salvatore holds a Master's degree in industrial biotechnology from Università degli Studi di Palermo.
