Minh Nguyen

Principal Product Designer at Mendel.ai

Minh Nguyen began their career in 2009 as a Real Estate Agent for Nextgen Realty. Minh then moved to Bank of New York Mellon in 2010 as a Sales Associate- Private Wealth Management. In 2013, they joined New Sector Alliance as a Development and Communications Coordinator, where they worked with the CEO to lead communications and creative efforts, manage and design marketing collateral, lead digital marketing efforts, and redesign the website. In 2015, they became a UI/UX Designer at InterSystems, where they built a UX design practice and team, worked with a team of Angular UI Developers and Product Managers in Agile development, led the development of UX resources and deliverables, and presented design vision to key stakeholders. In 2017, they began working as a Product Designer at BitSight, and later became a Senior Product Designer. In 2019, they joined Upland Localytics as a Lead Product Designer, and in their role they led design initiatives for an entire product re-design, managed and created visual design production and design system, and worked with the central UX team to define a UX strategy and process. Minh is currently employed as a Principal Product Designer at Mendel.ai, where they work to use novel AI aided by clinical experts to streamline global oncology research by organizing real world data and automating clinical trials.

Minh Nguyen attained a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Entrepreneurial Leadership from Tufts University between 2005 and 2009. In 2008, they also took a language course in Mandarin Chinese at Peking University. In 2012, they completed a Sales and Business Development Track at Startup Institute. In 2015, they completed a course in Front-End Development at General Assembly. Currently, they are a candidate for a Master in Human Factors and Information Design at Bentley University, which they began in 2018.
