Freya Boardman-Pretty

Data Scientist at Mendelian

Freya graduated with a degree in Biology from the University of York, after which she moved to UCL to complete an MSc in Genetics of Human Disease and a Ph.D. in cardiovascular genetics. After joining StoreGene, where she developed algorithms and patient reports for cardiovascular risk, she worked at Genomics England managing a rare disease research community working on the 100,000 Genomes Project data. Now combining her interests in rare diseases and in using data to improve health, at Mendelian she works as a data scientist, using health data to find new ways to detect and investigate rare diseases.
