Josef Holzmayr

Josef Holzmayr has a long and varied work experience. In 2007, they began working as a Software Developer Embedded Systems for R-S-I Elektrotechnik GmbH & Co.KG. During their time there, they were responsible for Embedded Linux integration tasks, application development for industrial controls and visualizations, and leading major technology initiatives and changes. In 2018, they took on a Freelance Technical Writer role at JHKA. In 2020, they became an Ambassador and Self-proclaimed Jester for The Yocto Project, A Linux Foundation Project. In 2021, they became a Social Media Manager for OpenEmbedded. Finally, in 2022 they became the Head Of Developer Relations at Mender.io, where their key areas of work include creating hardware integrations from various board vendors, encouraging others to integrate Mender OTA updates with new hardware boards, and evangelizing new and existing features with developers.

Josef Holzmayr obtained a Dipl.-Ing. (FH) in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt between 2003 and 2007.
