Lakiba Pittman

Faculty Lecturer at Menlo College

Lakiba Pittman, M.A., is a dedicated educator and facilitator with extensive experience in promoting compassion, diversity, and mindfulness in various educational and community settings. Currently serving as an Advisory Council Member at Global Compassion Coalition and Faculty Lecturer at Menlo College, Lakiba teaches courses on culture in media and diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in the workplace. As a Certified Compassion Cultivation Training Senior Facilitator at Stanford University's Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education, Lakiba combines contemplative practices with contemporary psychology to help individuals cultivate resilience and compassion. Additional roles include facilitating community healing workshops, serving as a Certified Compassion Cultivation Training Senior Instructor at Compassion Institute, and teaching mindful self-compassion at the Center For Mindful Self-Compassion, among others. Lakiba's educational background includes advanced degrees and certifications from prestigious institutions such as Stanford University and Bell Grove Theological Seminary.
