Dominik Bruhn

Dominik Bruhn has a diverse and extensive work experience. Dominik started their career as a Freelancer in 2004, where they used their skills in Java, Python, and various frameworks to help companies achieve their goals. Dominik worked both as a system developer and administrator, primarily on Linux/Unix systems.

In 2013, Dominik transitioned to the role of a Software Developer at INIT, Innovations in Transportation, before moving on to HStreaming, a Silicon Valley start-up focused on real-time processing of big data. Here, they developed cutting-edge solutions for processing real-time data streams.

Dominik then joined Adello as a Software Architect, where they built an advanced auto-trading cluster algorithm and system using technologies like Hadoop and Cassandra. Dominik successfully managed multiple technical and client-facing projects.

After Adello merged with HStreaming, Dominik continued their role as a Software Developer, contributing to the development of real-time data processing solutions.

In 2015, Dominik took on a new challenge at relayr, initially as a Senior Software Architect and Backend Lead. Dominik utilized their expertise in data querying, data analytics, and machine learning to solve complex tasks. Dominik also managed a team of eight engineers working in NodeJS and Scala. Later, they became the Director of Platform Engineering at relayr, leading a team of up to 35 engineers and contributing to the architecture and structure of the Relayr Industrial IoT Platform.

Dominik then worked at OSRAM as a Chief Architect, where they helped build the scalable and reusable IoT platform LIGHTELLIGENCE. This platform catered to both OSRAM's customers and third-party users.

Most recently, Dominik served as the Chief Technology Officer at Vimcar, where they led the development of the company's technology department. Dominik played a crucial role in shaping Vimcar's overall strategy, as well as owning the tech strategy and roadmap.

Currently, Dominik is set to assume the position of Chief Technology Officer at Menlo79 GmbH in 2023.

Dominik Bruhn obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) between 2006 and 2012.
