Lucia Kung

Lucia Kung is the current CFO at Mental Health America of Los Angeles. Lucia has over thirteen years of experience in finance and accounting. Lucia has a proven track record in financial management, overseeing the finances of various organizations with responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and audits.

Lucia began their career in 2006 as a Contracts and Grants Coordinator at the University of Southern California. In this role, they were responsible for developing and monitoring budgets, creating projections and forecasts, and analyzing actual budget performance to determine variances. Lucia also provided oversight of contracts, grants, and budget preparation to ensure continuity and compliance. In addition to their financial responsibilities, Lucia also participated in fund raising activities for the university.

In 2015, Lucia became the Director of Finance at CLTCEC - SEIU Local 2015. In this role, they were responsible for the day-to-day financial activities of the organization, including directing and managing the budget, financial reporting, and accounting. Lucia also oversaw the monthly and annual closing of accounts and prepared monthly financial statements. Additionally, they managed the cash position of bank accounts, prepared financial reports in accordance with grantor terms and conditions, and served as liaison with Local 2015 fiscal division to coordinate day-to-day operations.

In their current role as CFO at Mental Health America of Los Angeles, Lucia is responsible for the organization’s overall financial management. Lucia provides strategic direction and leadership in financial planning and analysis, forecasting, budgeting, grant management, cash management, and investment planning. Lucia is a vital member of the executive team and is instrumental in developing long-term financial plans to support the organization’s mission.

Lucia Kung has a Master's in Accounting from the University of Phoenix, a Bachelor's in Accounting from the University of Phoenix, and an Associate's in Banking and Insurance from Ming Chuan University.

They are on a team with Molly Ann Woods - Chief Development & Communications Officer, Judy Cooperberg - VP, External Affairs, North County, and Luther Richert - Chief Services Officer, South County. Lucia Kung reports to Christina Miller, President & CEO.
