Vanessa Perez, LPC, serves as the Director of Residential Clinical Services at the Mental Health Association of South Central Kansas since July 2019. Prior experience includes roles as a Bilingual Therapist at Compass Behavioral Health, and a Program Assistant at CONNECTIONS at Project Eagle, where responsibilities encompassed community resource provision and family needs assessment. Earlier positions include serving as a Bilingual Intern Therapist at SAFEHOME, a Community Support Assistant at NAMI of Greater Kansas City, and a Family Support Advocate at Head Start of Shawnee Mission, Inc. Vanessa's foundational experience was gained as a Care Manager at ECH Every Child's Hope and a Resident Services Coordinator at Rainbow Housing Assistance Corporation. Vanessa began professional endeavors as an Outreach Worker at Children's Mercy Hospital. Vanessa holds a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology and a Graduate Certificate in Child & Adolescent Counseling from Avila University, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from The University of Kansas.
