Michelle Tijerina

Child & Family Community Coordinator at MENTAL HEALTH CENTER OF DENVER

Michelle Tijerina has extensive experience in community coordination and mental health training, currently serving as the Voz y Corazon Suicide Prevention Program Community Coordinator at WellPower since February 2012. In parallel, Michelle holds the position of Child & Family Community Coordinator at the Mental Health Center of Denver since July 2005, along with being a certified Mental Health First Aid Trainer in various specializations. Michelle was instrumental in launching the first "Primeros Auxilios para la Salud Mental" training pilot in Colorado in 2012. Additionally, Michelle co-founded the A New Day Family Resource Center and has held roles as a bilingual clinical case manager and residential youth counselor. Michelle's earlier experience includes working as a certified personal trainer and physical therapy assistant. Michelle earned a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from St Mary's University.
