Mary Ethel Gavin

Mary Ethel Gavin is currently serving as a General Visitor/investigator for the Mental Health Commission IRL, focusing on complaints under the Decision Making Capacity Act 2015 since March 2023. Additionally, Mary Ethel holds the role of Independent Chairperson at Cpl since April 2022. Previously, Mary Ethel had a distinguished career as a retired Irish Prison Governor from September 1990 to April 2020. Mary's educational background includes a Diploma in Organizational Change and Renewal, a Master's in Criminal Justice from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration, and a Master's degree in Criminal Justice from the Institute of Public Administration, Dublin.
