Dr Elizabeth Connor has a diverse work experience in the field of mental health and public health. Dr Elizabeth has served as a Principal Policy Officer at the Mental Health Commission of Western Australia since 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Policy Officer at the Western Australian Association for Mental Health, where they provided comprehensive mental health policy advice and advocated for the rights of individuals with mental health issues and their families. Dr Connor also worked as an Adjunct Research Associate at Curtin University and as a Program Manager for FASD Prevention at the Telethon Kids Institute. Additionally, they have held roles such as a Systemic Advocacy Officer at the Western Australian Association for Mental Health, Manager at the Doctors' Health Advisory Service of Western Australia, and Policy and Research Officer at the Australian Medical Association (WA). Dr Connor began their career as a Resident Medical Officer at various hospitals, including Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Armadale Kelmscott Mental Health Service, and Royal Perth Hospital.
Dr Elizabeth Connor's education history includes a Master's degree in Public Health from Curtin University, which they obtained in 2021. Prior to that, they completed a Graduate Diploma of Public Health at the same university from 2017 to 2019. In 2015, they obtained a Certificate IV in Massage Therapy from Evolve College (Australian College of Massage). Furthermore, they hold a Bachelor of Medicine/ Bachelor of Surgery degree from The University of Notre Dame Australia, which they completed from 2008 to 2011. Lastly, in 2006, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from The University of Western Australia.
