Kathryn Wage

Director at Mental Health Systems

Mrs. Wage is a speech-language pathologist with experience in the administration of state programs, university teaching, public schools, and founding and directing a private practice. She is currently the Director/Owner of the Center for Communication Skills at the California Learning Connection, a multidisciplinary practice providing speech/language therapy, occupational therapy, academic services, and related support services to the residents of California’s central valley.

Prior to founding the Center for Communication Skills, Mrs. Wage served with the State Department of Education at the Diagnostic Center in Fresno for 17 years as a Diagnostic Specialist and Assistant Superintendent. As Assistant Superintendent she was responsible for 100 employees and management of the assessment and educational programs.

Kathryn also worked as a speech/language pathologist for school districts throughout Fresno County. As an Adjunct Faculty Member at Fresno Pacific College and California State University, Fresno, she developed courses in Team Diagnostics, Mainstreaming of Handicapped Students, Consultation in The School Environment, and Language Development and the Learning Disabled Child.

Mrs. Wage has actively served in such organizations as the Rotary Club of Fresno, where she was Executive Board Member for International Projects and Membership Development Committee Chair; International Dyslexia Association, serving as Executive Board Member and treasurer for the Central California Branch; American Speech-Language and Hearing Association; California Speech-Language and Hearing Association; and West Shaw Financial Park where she’s been on the Board of Directors since 2005.
