Mental Health Victoria
Phillipa Thomas is the Chief Executive Officer of Mental Health Victoria since November 2024. Prior experience includes multiple leadership roles at the Victorian Department of Health from August 2020 to November 2024, such as Executive Director of Reform Implementation and Director of Mental Health. Prior positions at Alfred Health from 2007 to 2020 involved management and strategy in mental health services, including the Mental Health Act Implementation and crisis intervention. Phillipa also served as a Social Worker with The Salvation Army and as a Trauma and Grief Counsellor at Coronial Services Victoria. Academic qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Monash University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Developmental Mental Health from the University of Melbourne, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from RMIT University.
