Mentice
Nieves Montes Gómez is currently a Data Scientist and Software Developer at Mentice, having started in January 2024. Previously, Nieves was a PhD Graduate Student at IIIA-CSIC from October 2020 to January 2024, focusing on normative multiagent systems, prosocial values, and social cognition under the guidance of Prof Carles Sierra and Dr Nardine Osman. A short tenure as a Visiting Research Student at King's College London in mid-2022 involved modeling cooperation under imperfect information, funded by the TAILOR project. Prior experience as a Data Scientist at Accenture included contributions to Health Analytics and developing epidemic models during the early COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier research experience also includes roles at ICMAB-CSIC and Kyoto University, where projects involved organic semiconductors and photocatalytic activity, respectively. Nieves holds a Doctorate in Artificial Intelligence from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, a Master's in Modelling for Science and Engineering from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, and a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Chemistry from the same institution.
