Pontus Appelqvist

Pontus Appelqvist has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Pontus is currently the VP and GM, APAC at Mentice, a leading provider of software and hardware simulator solutions for image-guided interventional therapies. Prior to that, they worked at EON Reality Pte Ltd as the VP Sales, Asia Pacific, where they were responsible for market development and managing major accounts in APac within Enterprise, Government, and Education. Before that, Pontus worked at Autodesk as a Global Account Manager, focusing on sales of high-end software and advanced IT solutions in Asia. Pontus also served as the Regional Director Asia at Opticore Japan K.K., where they established and headed a subsidiary company in Japan and led the company's operations, sales, and business development in Asia. Pontus started their career at Opticore AB, where they had various roles, including Sales Manager, General Manager of Professional Services, and Co-founder of a start-up company. Pontus also worked as a Product Manager at Prosolvia AB. Throughout their career, Pontus has demonstrated expertise in market development, sales management, and business expansion across the Asia Pacific region.

Pontus APPELQVIST received their MSc in Computer Science and Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology from 1989 to 1995. Additionally, they obtained a diploma in French Language from Université Stendhal Grenoble 3 in 1991-1992.
