Gavin Walles

Gavin Walles has held various legal roles throughout their career. From 2007 to 2010, they worked at Amazon as a Trainee Solicitor/NQ. Gavin then moved on to Virgin Active, where they served as a Legal Counsel from 2010 to 2014. In 2014, they joined YouView TV Limited as a Senior Solicitor and Head of Risk, a position they held until 2018. Since 2018, they have been working at Mention Me, initially as the Head of Legal and Data Protection Officer, and currently as the General Counsel, DPO, and Company Secretary.

Gavin Walles completed their education in the field of Law. Gavin obtained a Law-LLB degree from King's College London, where they studied from 2003 to 2006. Subsequently, they attended the College of Law in Guildford from 2006 to 2007 to pursue the LPC degree in Law. In addition to their formal education, Gavin has also obtained various certifications. Gavin acquired the CIPP/E certification from the IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals in May 2019. In October 2016, they obtained a certification in Intellectual Property Law from Central Law Training. Furthermore, they acquired a certification in Information Security and Data Protection from BSI in June 2011. Gavin also holds a certification as a Circl Leader as Coach, although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not available.
