Rob Weiss has been the Executive Director at Mentis Napa since December 2010. Prior to that, they were the Clinical Director at Family Service of Napa Valley from October 1996 to December 2010. In that role, they were responsible for overseeing the delivery of a variety of mental health services in several programs (both outpatient and residential), including managing staff, monitoring budgetary expenditures, directing program operations, coordinating with County and Non-Profit service providers, responding to reporting requirements of agency funders, as well as planning and developing services to meet community needs.
Weiss has also been very involved in the Napa community. Rob was the Chair of the Napa County Homeless Planning Council for several years and helped develop, design, and implement a permanent housing program that began serving homeless, disabled adults (mentally ill, dually diagnosed, and HIV+/AIDS) in January 2003. Rob also maintain oversight and management of the transitional housing program for mentally ill adults.
In addition to their work at Mentis Napa, Weiss also provides clinical supervision to students, interns in the outpatient psychotherapy program as well as managerial oversight to licensed therapists. Rob has also developed, implemented, and off-sited agency staff to deliver mental health services to clients of other community Non-Profit agencies.
Rob Weiss received a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of California, Los Angeles with a focus in mental health. Before that, they completed a Bachelor's degree in sociology from the same school.
