Shannon LaCount is the current Principal Product Manager at Mentor Collective. Prior to their current position, Shannon served as the Vice President of Campus Strategy at Anthology Inc from July 2020 to November 2020. Shannon also served as the Vice President at Campus Labs from September 2013 to November 2020 and as the Director of Student Learning Assessment at the University of Minnesota Duluth from August 2012 to August 2013. In this role, Shannon was responsible for coordinating campus-wide assessment activities and served as a resource for student learning assessment and accreditation liaison to the Higher Learning Commission. Prior to their work in higher education, Shannon worked as a speech language pathologist in a variety of settings, including high schools, hospitals, and medical clinics. Shannon began their career as an assistant professor at the University of Minnesota Duluth in November 2005 and served in this role until June 2012. Shannon also worked as a speech-language pathologist at St. Luke's Hospital from August 2005 to January 2010 and at SMDC from August 2001 to June 2003.

Shannon LaCount has a Doctor of Education (Ed.D) in Teaching and Learning from the University of Minnesota Duluth. Shannon also has a Master of Arts (MA) in Speech-Language Pathology from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Communication Disorders and Sciences from the University at Buffalo.
