Carol Larkin has extensive experience in education, serving as the owner of Teaching To the Future LLC since October 2005, focusing on educational consulting. Additionally, Carol has been an Adjunct Faculty Instructor at Lakeland Community College since January 2003, specializing in technical communications within the Division of Engineering. At Mentor Exempted Village Public Schools, Carol has been an instructor for Applied College ELA in college tech prep programs since August 1990. From September 2007 to 2010, Carol worked as a consultant for Career and Technical Assistance Ohio, developing online professional development opportunities for career and technical educators. Educational achievements include a Master’s Degree in Systematic Theology from John Carroll University, a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language and Literature from Wheeling University, and various certificates and licensures from Ashland University, John Carroll University, and Notre Dame College, focusing on curriculum development, staff development, and reading specialization.

Mentor Public Schools is a suburban school district that serves more than 7,700 students enrolled in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade from the City of Mentor and the surrounding communities of Mentor-on-the-Lake, Concord Township, and Kirtland Hills. Our district operates eight elementary schools, three middle schools, one high school and one state-of-the-art specialized school for students with autism, with just under 1,000 employees.
