Shafiq Khan

Shafiq Khan is a Partner at Mentors Fund. Shafiq has over fifteen years of experience in accounting and finance. Shafiq started their career as a Staff Accountant at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. where they worked for four years. Shafiq then moved to the California Institute of Technology as their Accounting Manager where they oversaw fiscal operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and revenue audit. In 2004, they left Caltech to work as a Franchise Management for Arby's Restaurant Group, Inc. where they were responsible for business operations, management, and administration for nine years. In 2013, Khan began working as an Coordinator, Financial Wellness Program at the University of North Dakota where they helped students with budgeting, credit management, and student loans. Shafiq has been with Mentors Fund since 2018.

Shafiq Khan has a PhD in Educational Foundation and Research from the University of North Dakota. Their research focus is in Educational Research and Higher Education. Shafiq also has a Master of Science in Instructional Design and Technology from UND, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Geography and Environment. In addition, they are certified by the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance in National Certification in Nonprofit Management and Leadership.
