Kiriana Brown has a diverse work experience, beginning with their role as Management Cadet at Tegel Foods Ltd in 2012. In this role, they reported to the Regional Operations Manager and gained exposure to various branches of the business operations from production operations to finance and maintenance planning. Kiriana was also responsible for the regional integration and co-design of a software application for managing plant maintenance, which resulted in 98% audit compliance and a national roll out. In 2019, Kiriana took on two roles at Komodo, as a Customer Success Lead and a Business Development Associate. Additionally, they were a UX Design Intern at Orbica, a Christchurch based Geo Location data specialists, where they undertook a UX review of one of Orbica's leading products to identify design and UX areas of opportunity for improvement. Kiriana currently works as a Data Team at the New Zealand Electoral Commission since 2020, and is also a Software Developer at MenuAid since 2022.

Kiriana Brown has a diverse educational background, beginning with a NCEA Level 3, University Entrance from Marian College, Christchurch, NZ in 2004-2008. Kiriana then attended the University of Otago, graduating with a Bsc Physiology in 2009-2011. In 2012, they attended Old Dominion University and studied Kinesiology and Exercise Science. In 2018, they completed a Graduate Diploma in IT from Ara Institute of Canterbury and SIGNAL (South Island ICT Grad School). In addition, they have obtained two additional certifications - CS50x: Introduction to the intellectual enterprises of computer science and the art of programming from CS50 in May 2021, and The Complete Javascript Course 2020: Build Real Projects from Udemy in September 2020.
