Shayla Shmuel

Shayla Shmuel has a diverse work experience. From January 2020, they have been working as a Biology Learning Assistant at The George Washington University. Shayla is also currently serving as the President of MEOR since January 2020. Prior to these roles, Shayla worked as a Student Intern in the Radiology Department at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center from June 2017. There, they gained valuable lab skills and techniques. Before that, they were a Lifeguard at HIGHLAND LAKES COUNTRY CLUB & COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION from May 2016 to August 2018. Lastly, during high school, Shayla worked as a Hebrew Teacher at Adereth El Synagogue from September 2016 to June 2018, teaching a class of 1st through 5th grade students.

Shayla Shmuel attended Léman Manhattan Preparatory School from 2014 to 2018, where they obtained their High School Diploma with a focus on the International Baccalaureate program. Following this, they pursued higher education at The George Washington University from 2018 to 2022, specializing in the field of Economics.
