Abraham Hurtado, EIT, has two years of work experience. In 2021, they began working as a Mechanical Engineer at MEPCE, where they provided professional engineering support work (BIM) that included designing and drafting of HVAC ductwork, plumbing, and fire protection lines. Abraham also calculated and provided accurate approximations of heat loads per building specs for consultation of recommended HVAC units prior to installation, along with ductwork sizing and locating. Additionally, they responded to contractor Requests for Information (RFI's) and reviewed shop drawings to ensure compliance with design requirements with building codes, in particular ASHRAE, IBC, IECC, IMC, IPC. Also in 2021, they began working as a Production Engineer Intern at Watts Water Technologies, where they identified shop floor improvements to increase outputs/efficiency while reducing costs. Abraham also designed tools to improve the manufacturing processes and planned/executed manufacturing engineering requests as assigned.

Abraham Hurtado obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington in 2021. Abraham then obtained their Engineer In Training (EIT) certification from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors in April 2022.
