Giovana Fiorin de Abreu

Giovana Fiorin de Abreu has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Giovana is currently employed at Mercado Bitcoin as the Director of Operations since June 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Crypto Operations Manager from December 2020 to June 2022 and was responsible for managing cryptocurrency operations. Giovana also worked as the Business Development and Customer Relationship Strategy at Mercado Bitcoin from June 2020 to December 2020.

Giovana has also gained international exposure through their MBA exchange program at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management from August 2019 to December 2019. Additionally, they completed an International MBA program at SDA Bocconi from July 2018 to December 2019.

Before pursuing their MBA, Giovana worked at B3 as the Business Development and Customer Relationship Manager from August 2014 to June 2018. Prior to this, they held the position of Business Development and Customer Relationship Analyst from September 2012 to July 2014.

Giovana started their career at UBS as a Law Student Intern from July 2009 to December 2010 and later worked as a Legal Counsel from January 2011 to October 2011.

Giovana kickstarted their professional journey at HMSHost International as an International Associate under the Work and Travel Program from November 2005 to March 2006.

Giovana Fiorin de Abreu has a diverse education history. Giovana began their education journey at Centro Universitário FMU | FIAM-FAAM, where they pursued a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from 2005 to 2011. Giovana then furthered their legal education at Insper Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa, obtaining an LLM degree in Financial and Capital Markets, which they completed from 2015 to 2017.

In 2018, Giovana enrolled in the Full-Time International MBA Program at SDA Bocconi, with a focus on Marketing and Innovation. Giovana'sstudies in this program lasted until 2019. During this time, they also participated in an MBA Exchange Program at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management in the fall of 2019, specializing in Consumer Behavior and Fintech Marketing.

Giovana has also obtained several additional certifications to supplement their education. In 2011, they became a certified Lawyer by passing the Brazilian São Paulo State Bar exam. Giovana has also acquired the Test d'évaluation de français (TEF) Niveau B2 certification from Le français des affaires de la CCI Paris Ile-de-France in October 2020, and the Verified International Academic Qualifications certification from World Education Services in September 2019.

Furthermore, Giovana has gained expertise in the wine and spirits industry by completing the Level 2 Award in Wines and Spirits with Merit from WSET—Wine & Spirit Education Trust in June 2019. Additionally, they obtained the GMAT certification from the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) in March 2018.

Giovana has also demonstrated their proficiency in financial and legal fields by obtaining the Chainalysis Reactor Certification (CRC) from Chainalysis Inc. in July 2021 and the PQO - BackOffice certification from B3 in May 2017. Finally, they have proven their proficiency in English by acquiring the IELTS - General Training and Academic certification from the British Council in January 2019.
