Marcel Gomes' work experience includes roles at Mercado Bitcoin, ANBIMA, Sula América Investimentos, and BRAM - Bradesco Asset Management.

At Mercado Bitcoin, they are responsible for developing passive income solutions in crypto products such as staking, lending, and DEFI yield farming. Marcel also works on solutions related to mutual funds and institutional customers, as well as trading and portfolio management tools. Additionally, they are involved in qualified custody business models, new crypto listings, investment funds, CBDC/stable coin, wallets, and partnerships with protocols.

At ANBIMA, Marcel headed the market intelligence team responsible for creating reports and research on investment funds, qualified custody, and investment distribution. Marcel also handled technical studies on risk management, tax regulations, and other financial matters. Additionally, they oversaw the data analytics team, ensuring data gathering and quality assurance.

Prior to ANBIMA, Marcel worked as an Investment Funds Analyst at Sula América Investimentos and BRAM - Bradesco Asset Management.

Marcel Gomes, Msc has a strong educational background in economics and finance. Marcel pursued a Professional Master's degree in Economics with a focus on Finance at FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas from 2012 to 2013. Prior to that, they completed a specialization in Financial Economics - Fixed Income Operations at the same institution from 2008 to 2009.

In 2006 to 2007, Marcel pursued another specialization in Financial Markets at Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie. Marcel'sacademic journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Economics at Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo, which was obtained from 2000 to 2005.

Marcel Gomes also holds additional certifications that highlight their expertise in blockchain technology and decentralized finance. Marcel completed the "Blockchain para Negócios" program at Blockchain Academy in March 2022 and obtained the "Certified DEFI Expert" certification from the Blockchain Council in the same month and year.
