Mauricio Chamati

Mauricio Chamati has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles.

Mauricio is the Founder of Mercado Bitcoin, the largest exchange in Brazil and LatAm, with over 2.5 million customers and a trading volume of over 30 billion BRL. Mauricio started this role in June 2013.

In 2019, they became an Investor at Gear Ventures, a VC investment company focused on fintechs. Mauricio has also served as the Founder and Tech & CyberSec committee sponsor for 2TM since June 2013.

In addition, Mauricio has served as a Strategic Advisor at Pacific Sec starting in September 2022 and at Alboom starting in January 2023. Mauricio is also an Endeavor Entrepreneur since December 2021.

Earlier in their career, they were the Founder of melhorescolha.com in November 2013 and Cadre Tecnologia in April 2009. At Cadre Tecnologia, their main product was Mordomo. Mauricio was also a Solutions Architect LatAm at Brightstar from April 2008 to March 2014.

Lastly, they worked as a Software Architect Consultant at Strategy Manager from July 2010 to June 2012.

Mauricio Chamati completed their undergraduate studies from 2000 to 2004 at Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. In 2008, they attended Universidade Estadual de Campinas and pursued a postgraduate diploma in Software Architecture, Components, and SOA, which was completed within the same year. Continuing their education, from 2010 to 2012, Mauricio Chamati pursued an MBA at FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas with a major in Project Management.
