Ignacio Nieto Farías

Ignacio Nieto Farías is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in application security and software engineering. Currently serving as Senior Application Security Manager at Mercado Libre since April 2019, Ignacio leads initiatives encompassing the software development lifecycle, vulnerability management, and security education. Previously, Ignacio held multiple management and engineering roles at Mercado Libre, overseeing significant online payment processing products and APIs. Ignacio's earlier career includes positions at Despegar.com, where leadership was demonstrated in application security and software development, alongside co-founding Tu Turno! and providing engineering expertise at GlobalLogic and Movistar. Ignacio holds an MBA from Universidad del CEMA, has trained in entrepreneurship at Scalabl Academy, and holds a Systems Engineering degree from Universidad CAECE.
