Karen Russell

Karen Russell has extensive experience in finance and leadership roles. Karen began their career as an Auditor/Senior Accountant at Ernst & Young in 1992, before transitioning to a Financial Analyst position at Golden Corrall Corporation in 1994. From 1997 to 2002, they held various managerial positions at GSK, where they were responsible for financial planning and analysis, consolidation and planning, and budget analysis. Karen then served as VP, IT Finance at GSK from 2002 to 2009, where they contributed to cost savings and business continuity initiatives. Karen continued to climb the corporate ladder at GSK, assuming roles such as Head of Commercial ERP Deployments and VP Financial Planning and Analysis. From 2013 to 2014, Karen served as VP, CFO of Canada at GSK, where they played a pivotal role in transforming the Canadian Pharma business. Karen then joined Patheon as VP, Finance Drug Product Services from 2015 to 2017. Following this, they worked as the CFO of Evidera from 2017 to 2019. Currently, they hold the position of CFO at Mercalis, starting in 2019. Throughout their career, Karen has demonstrated their abilities in finance, strategic leadership, and change management.

Karen Russell earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Management from Georgia Institute of Technology from 1988 to 1992. Karen also holds additional certifications as a Certified Public Accountant from the North Carolina Association of CPAs (NCACPA) and a Green belt in Six Sigma.
