Caroline Vérot Moore

EVP, Houston Market President at Mercantil Bank

Caroline Vérot Moore, CFA, was appointed as Amerant Bank’s EVP, Houston Market President in April 2023. She is a commercial banking industry veteran with more than two decades of global financial experience. As market president, she leads Amerant's retail and business banking, private banking, wealth management as well as commercial banking and commercial real estate teams in the greater Houston market.

Prior to joining Amerant, Vérot Moore was Houston Market Executive at Fifth Third Bank since 2019. From 2012 to 2019, she served as Senior Vice President at Wells Fargo, where she led Global Banking and Middle Market Banking teams that delivered international and commercial services to large and middle-market corporations. From 1999 to 2010, Vérot Moore was with Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking, where she held various roles in Credit, Portfolio Management, and Multinational and Global Corporates in New York City and Shanghai.

Vérot Moore was recognized as a Global Leader of Influence by the World Affairs Council of Greater Houston, is a member of the Greater Houston Partnership’s Executive Women Partnership, and was named a 2022 Breakthrough Woman by the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce. She holds a Graduate Business degree from Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales in Lille, France, and an M.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana.
