Luis Peña Martínez is an experienced banking professional with a strong background in corporate banking, particularly in the Venezuelan market. From September 1999 to October 2007, Luis served as a Corporate Banking Relationship Manager and Product Owner at Mercantil, C.A. Banco Universal, where strategies were developed to generate significant banking business for corporate clients. Luis managed relationships with 160 corporations, predominantly multinationals, and led initiatives that positioned the bank as a leader in alliances within the industry. In a prior role at GMAC, Luis worked as a Credit Representative, and at Banco Exterior C.A., Luis served as an Oil & Gas Banking Executive. Luis holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Universidad Central de Venezuela and is currently pursuing a Diplomado Internacional de los Hidrocarburos at IESA from March to July 2024.
