Amirul Islam

Mr. Amirul Islam has a strong background in technology and database administration. Mr. Amirul has been working at Mercantile Bank Limited since 2010 as the Temenos technology Lead and Database Administrator, where they lead the design and architecture of Temenos and JBoss applications. Mr. Amirul collaborates with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Mr. Amirul also has over 12 years of experience with T24 Application and Oracle Database installations, configurations, management, and monitoring. Prior to this, Mr. Islam worked at Opsonin Pharma Ltd as an Executive (DBA) from 2007 to 2010, where they managed enterprise Linux and installed and managed Oracle in Fujitsu Blade Server. Mr. Amirul also worked at Progressive Life Insurance Company as a Senior Executive (DBA) from 2005 to 2007, where they were responsible for infrastructure design and development for insurance. Additionally, they worked at CACTS Ltd. as an Assistant Programmer from 2004 to 2005, providing consulting services on Oracle based systems.

Mr. Amirul Islam earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computer Science & Engineering from Islamic University from 2001 to 2003. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Computer Science and Engineering from Islamic University, Bangladesh from 1996 to 2001. Mr. Amirul also obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science & Engineering from Islamic University in 2001. In terms of additional certifications, Mr. Islam became a RedHat Certified Engineer (RHCE) from RedHat India in 2011 and an Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) from Oracle University in 2010.
