Michael Stapleton

Michael Stapleton is currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending at Mercantile Bank of Michigan since September 2018. Prior to this role, Michael held various senior positions at Fifth Third Bank from 2011 to 2018, including Senior Vice President & Manager for Middle Market, Health Care, and Government & Institutional Banking. With a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Western Michigan University, Michael's extensive career in the banking industry also includes roles at Comerica Bank from 1985 to 2011, where Michael excelled as a Senior Vice President & Manager in Middle Market Banking and Relationship Management. Additionally, Michael has completed the School of Mortgage Banking program at Northwestern University.
