Shunsuke Sako

Shunsuke Sako is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in business leadership and development. Currently serving as CEO Marketplace at Mercari, Inc. since October 2021, Shunsuke Sako has also held the positions of VP General Manager Cross Border and VP of Cross Border, Corporate Development, focusing on cross-border business and M&A. Prior to Mercari, Sako was a Management Advisor at Unison Capital Inc. and served as CEO of Minit Asia Pacific from January 2013 to September 2021, where 600+ global stores were managed. Shunsuke Sako’s career includes a successful launch of Motherhouse Taiwan as Country Director and foundational roles at Motherhouse Co., Ltd. as Global Sales & Marketing Manager. Shunsuke Sako began professional experience with Mitsubishi Corporation in the Petroleum Division shortly after earning a degree in Sociology from UCLA in 2007.
