Pavel Oliynyk

Pavel Oliynyk has extensive work experience as a software developer, specializing in Scala. Pavel started their career in 2015 as a Software Architect at Avel Research, where they gained experience in various technologies such as Git, HTML5, AngularJS, BootstrapCSS, Scala, and more. Pavel also worked on projects involving REST API, Jenkins, Play 2.x framework, and Apache Spark 2.x.

In 2016, Pavel joined ClearBank® as a Senior Software Engineer, where they further developed their skills in Scala and worked on various software engineering projects. Pavel then moved on to roles at comparethemarket.com and Lloyds Banking Group, where they held positions as a Senior Big Data Engineer and Scala Software Developer respectively.

From 2019 to 2020, Pavel worked as a Scala Developer at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and as a Senior Software Engineer at TD Securities. Pavel continued to demonstrate their expertise in Scala and contributed to the development of software systems.

In 2021, Pavel held roles as a Scala Developer at Trūata and as a Scala Engineer at Dae.mn. These positions allowed him to further enhance their skills in Scala development and work on challenging projects.

Most recently, in 2022, Pavel joined Mercator IT Solutions Ltd as a Senior Scala Developer, where they continue to leverage their knowledge and experience in Scala development.

Throughout their career, Pavel has gained experience in various technologies, frameworks, and methodologies such as TDD, BDD, Agile, Docker containers, and more. Pavel has a strong background in Scala development and has consistently demonstrated their ability to contribute to software engineering projects.

Pavel Oliynyk attended Khmelnitsky Polytechnic College from 1994 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications. Pavel then continued their education at Khmelnitsky National University from 1999 to 2004, majoring in computer science in the department of Computer Systems and Networks. Pavel graduated with a diploma with honors, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree.

In addition to their formal education, Pavel Oliynyk has obtained several certifications, including "Introduction to Philosophy" from Coursera in June 2023, "Understanding Einstein: The Special Theory of Relativity" from Coursera in March 2023, and "Effective Programming in Scala / Scala 3" from Coursera in October 2021. Pavel also holds certifications from various institutions such as Rosalind, Coursera Course Certificates, and Lightbend, Inc., covering topics in bioinformatics, data engineering, Akka, Scala, reactive architecture, and domain-driven design.
