Rafael Pasquet

Rafael Pasquet has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over a decade. Rafael began their career in 2006 with internships at Mercedes-Benz South Africa, Deutsche Bank, and Deloitte, where they gained exposure in various financial and corporate roles. In 2008, they completed an internship in controlling and planning at Daimler South East Asia Pte. Ltd. Before joining Daimler AG as a management trainee in 2009, they undertook a diploma thesis venture capital role at Robert Bosch Venture Capital.

At Daimler AG, Rafael worked as a program manager for finance excellence and completed a talent program. Rafael then joined Mercedes-Benz Mobility AG in 2012 as an executive assistant to the board member and CFO. Their responsibilities included coordinating with board members, stakeholder management, and developing a global finance strategy.

Rafael's career progressed to Daimler South East Asia Pte. Ltd. in 2015, where they served as the regional CFO for South East Asia. Rafael led finance teams across multiple countries, implemented digital finance processes, and developed a regional business intelligence strategy.

In 2017, Rafael joined Mercedes-Benz Australia as the director and chief financial officer for Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Australia Pty Ltd. Their role involved overseeing finance areas such as controlling, accounting, risk management, tax, and treasury. Rafael also spearheaded digital finance transformation and managed the data and analytics team.

In addition to their corporate experience, Rafael has served as a start-up mentor at Startupbootcamp since 2021. This role allows him to share their expertise and support emerging businesses.

In 2018, Rafael participated in the Enterprise Agility Leaders Program at Melbourne Business School. In 2019, they attended the Advanced Management Program at INSEAD. In 2020, they completed the Company Directors Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors and became a member (MAICD) of the institution. Lastly, in 2021, they undertook the Oxford Fintech Program at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
