Barbara B. currently serves as the Head of Lean & Transformation at Mercedes-Benz AG, overseeing VAN Operations globally since March 2022, and leads shipping operations in Stuttgart, managing a team of over 100 employees responsible for the dispatch of various powertrain components. In addition to their main role, Barbara B. mentors women in the automotive industry through the Women Automotive Network, a position held since January 2023. Previous experience includes managerial roles at Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Poland and numerous logistics and supply chain positions at Mercedes-Benz AG from 2011 to 2021. Barbara B. has also contributed to academia as a lecturer at Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. Educational qualifications include a Diplom in Wirtschaftsingenieur from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and an MBA from Bowling Green State University.
